Local Historic Weather

For those of you who are from the warmer climates, please disregard the snow that if falling across our page. We felt it was more festive than suggestive and while it may suggest our “mild climate” is less than desirable, think again.

For those who have no knowledge of Victoria’s typical weather, I have attached the most recent historic records for your review.

Temperature (°C)

Jan Feb Mar Apr May Jun Jul Aug Sep Oct Nov Dec
Average high 5.8 7.2 9.2 16 17.3 18.9 17.9 18 12.1 7.9
Average low 2.2 3.1 4.1 8.6 10 11.4 10.9 11.1 8.1 3.8
Average 4.1 5.1 6.7 12.4 13.7 15.2 14.4 14.5 10.2 5.8
Record daily high 11.1 11.1 12.8 15.6 27.2 25 25 26.1 26.1 15 13.3 11.7

So as you can see, while we are not balmy California (with their San Andreas Fault), nor do we boost of having the warmer climates prevalent in the US Southeast (along with their seasonal hurricanes). Quite simply we are moderate in the summer, mild in the winter and predictable when every one else is scrambling to batten up their windows, or shelling out some of their hard-earned wages for one more tank of fuel oil or cord of firewood.

It’s a very nice place to live if I must say.
